Revive

Revive as a melody came to me while driving. This song tested my ability to persevere because it seemed like it would never come together. I didn’t even know what key I could put it in. Eventually, after returning to it time and time again it came together as an anthem song. This is the prayer I pray to God often — to keep me burning for him on the inside and to enlighten the eyes of my understanding (Ephesians 1:18) I see a generation that fizzles out more and more in the face of the difficulties that are presented to them and like Jeremiah, who felt the words of God in him like fire (Jeremiah 20:9), I want this generation to feel that they can’t stop talking about Jesus. This song is a prayer for the spirit of God to release a spirit of revelation because we need God to understand God (Ephesians 1:15-19). I also wanted to channel some of my inner R&B and Rock vibes. This song is smooth in the chord progressions and harsh in it’s instrumentation. I have several minor chords follow one another
